Power is a loaded word. But we want you to womenize this concept and make it into what you imagen a powerful women to be. No the patriartichal version of the word. We want you to be the most powerful version of yourself and your power is in your presence. You can only have power ( in our definition of the concept) if you are in contact with your intuition, have grace and are cultivating radiance. This leads to power and positive influence. This is our mission and hope for you, that you not only have an idea of where you are going but the tools and power to actually get there. And when you are there (and on the way there), that you use your power and influence for good. So, how can we reinvent the word POWER for the aquarian age and become more thoughtful and impactful leaders and humans?

Power is often related to our ability to make others do what we want, regardless of their own wishes or interests (Weber, 1946).

Stereotypically power would be thought to be authority, command and control. We don’t think that’s real power. That’s coercive power. Luckily for us, we’re living in a world where technology and all sorts of movements have made power a shared thing. When we think about power we think about commitment, influence and the power to actually get something done. EMPOWERMENT. You get that nowadays by being authentic, honest and straightforward and  by using your self practice to get you to a vulnerable and authentic state. So power can be internal and external. Internal power cultivates external power not the other way around.

Power is also an opportunity to make change. If you have power and you’re not using it to make change, then it’s a waste. The face of power must and is changing. Our world is changing. We’ve lived in a period where we’ve gone from a very Western-focused idea of power. It’s no longer simply money or business development or even job creation. It is quality of life. It is building a world where we can impact positively the environment we live in. In each little sphere, in your universe, you cause things to happen. So YOU do have power in your surroundings, way more than you think. And with that power comes responsibility.

Power is strengh & energy from within, we need alot of energy to get where we are going and to enjoy our way there. And we get energy by doing self work, by truly taking care of ourselves and releasing baggage and blockages.

To talk about power now isn’t the same as it once was. The Aquarian Age is the new age and we are experiencing the phase of change as we enter into it from the old Age of Pisces.  We’ve spent the last 26000 years in the Age of Pisces, a time of patriarchal power led by masculine rules, logical thinking, structures and boundaries.  But now as we move into the Age of Aquarius we find ourselves stepping back into the matriarchal power and this is why we see the world crumbling in the way that it is.  The systems are crashing and the rules are changing as this movement takes place and the divine feminine power rises.

OLD POWER VS NEW POWER

  • Old Power is held tightly, like Currency, whereas New Power is fluid, like Current
  • Old Power is Held by Few, New Power is Made by Many
  • Old Power is Hoarded, whereas New Power is Channeled
  • Old Power tracks Downloads, New Power encourages Uploads
  • Old Power Commands authority, New Power Shares Authority
  • Old Power is Leader Driven, New Power is Peer Driven
  • Old Power is Closed off, whereas New Power is Open

HOW TO INCREASE YOUR POWER

Most of us approach life by creating safety and security and pursuing contentment. These things are important, but life is filled with pleasure and pain, satisfaction and suffering, delight and difficulty. By focusing only on the comfort side of the picture, we cut ourselves off from the full range of human experience—and the knowledge, skills, and empathy that come with the other side.

When you hide from the tough issues, you may play safe and refuse to take risks. You may steer clear of difficult conversations at home and at work. Afraid of conflict, you may fail to challenge yourself or others, to greater performance and a better life. To live fully, you must be willing to step into the unknown. You must be willing to challenge yourself to grow and change. And change feels uncomfortable for most of us. Your fear and anxiety and discomfort are natural, human reactions to life.

To be effective at navigating change, we must first accept that uncertainty is the reality of the day and we must possess the confidence and personal power to navigate through the change. When you have a high sense of personal power, you believe that you can shape your outcomes, and this gives you confidence and courage to shape change and your outcomes. When you have low personal power, you question your ability to shape outcomes, or feel you lack the ability to influence others or your environment. Conscious people recognize and accept that change is inevitable and use their self-awareness to assess where they are and where they want to go and use their personal power to get there. Most of us lie somewhere on the spectrum of high to low personal power. Becoming more self-aware and conscious can move us on the way to higher personal power and a greater ability to embrace change.

TRY THIS

– When experiencing feelings of discomfort, don’t run away from them. Instead, embrace whatever comes up and acknowledge that it is a natural human reaction.

– VOLUNTARY DISCOMFORT

– Become aware of what you are telling yourself (thinking) and notice the story you’re are telling yourself about the situation. Ask yourself: Is it true? How do you know?

– Reframe discomfort as a positive source for growth and get curious in the face of the unknown.

POWER PRACTICE

Sat Kriya is a powerful kriya to create energy as well as breath of fire. Both of the focus on the third chakra. It is recommended to practice Sat Kriya every day for at least 3 minutes. General physical health is improved because all the internal organs receive a gentle rhythmic massage from this exercise. The heart gets stronger from the rhythmic up-and-down of blood pressure you generate from the pumping motion of the Navel Point. If you have time for nothing else, make this kriya part of your daily promise to yourself. The rhythmic contraction and relaxation produces waves of energy that circulate, energize, and heal the body.

Headstand tutorial

For those of you that have not done a headstand for a while (or never before) here is a tutorial that takes you through each step of being able to do a headstand! Inversions are a fundamental in yoga that give you confidence and courage.

Yoga inversions release tension, increase circulation and energy levels, and strengthen muscles. It’s also thought to promote emotional growth, calm the mind and spirit, guide energy toward the heart, and help you become more connected with the earth.
