YONI, is the Sanskrit term for the female reproductive system, it is the body’s sacred source for creation, sexuality and intimate pleasure. If you have a yoni, then you must know by now that owning one can be quite the responsibility.
Blood comes out of them and sometimes babies, and often you might even invite somebody or something inside of them. That’s why it’s pretty important to keep them clean, healthy and super juicy. We are here to help, because if you do not properly take good care of your yoni and look after her many needs, it can lead to some pretty big health issues that may directly impact your longterm reproductive health and so much more.
NATURAL YONI CARE
The yoni has her own ecosystem, microbiome and pH level. If that is not complicated enough she is also highly sensitive to stress, trauma and pain. She is the keeper of our true feminine power and she can also hold on to some deeply rooted emotions, that way too many women carry around with them for way too long, causing all kinds of illnesses and problems.
Most young girls have been taught to block the flow of their bleeding yoni with bleached tampons and commercial pads, to numb out any pain associated to that with drugs and chemicals, to practice a “Feminine Hygiene”.
“Feminine Hygiene” is basically just fear and shame of the wild feminine, dressed up as “cleanliness”..and with that, my fellow women, our power and intuition is also sanitised in a way. Sanitised by society! And due to this societal conditioning, female pleasure and its role in self healing has been reserved as taboo.
If we make our yoni care more natural and healthy it can have amazing benefits, not only on our body, but also on our soul and the environment. The yoni creates life, it is holy and so much more than just a body part. Lets show her respect and take the responsibility for our own menstrual wellbeing and reproductive health.
The yoni is so complex and we will go deeper in the art of taking care of the yoni and celebrating the feminine power, this is just the start. The wisdom is within you, and the power to heal is also within you. We are the wild feminine rising!
LET HER BREATH, SHE NEEDS FRESH AIR.
Try to sleep naked or wear clothes that are not too tight. Always choose natural fibres, do not wear synthetic underwear and if you do then only do so for a short amount of time and try to avoid thongs.
TRAIN THE PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLES!
If you are experiencing problems like pain during sex, or trouble holding urine, it could point to an issue with your pelvic floor muscles. You want sex to be enjoyable, right? And with well trained pelvic floor muscles you can experience way better orgasms and get them quicker and for a longer period of time. We love using yoni eggs made of crystals to heal and train our pelvic floor. Yoga and Pranayama is also extremely good for the pelvic floor muscles.
KEEP IT CLEAN
and pee after sex! I just recently found out about this, in my thirties, and felt so stupid that I didn’t know. Because the problem is that we do not talk openly about all of this. But if you constantly forget to pee after sex, you might be upping your chances of getting a urinary tract infection. Preventative measures, like peeing after sex, are a good idea and also showering right after a sweaty workout. If you’re prone to yeast infections, change out of wet swimsuits and sweaty workout clothes as quickly as possible. And focus on natural yoni care. And for a little secret advice; I keep a coconut oil mixed with pure lavender essential oil in my bathroom cabinet. I put it on my yoni after showering, after sex and after grooming. Both coconut oil and lavender oil kills bacteria and fungi, moistures and smells amazing.
CHOOSE NATURAL PRODUCTS
Do not wear a tampon for too long, please look into more eco friendly choices like lunar cups, they are way better for you and the environment. We also love the freedom that comes with the luna cup as it really makes you more connected to your period, you actually know how much you bleed. By that you know your body better, and it gives you freedom when traveling. Make your period habits more natural. Use period proof underwear, that protects you from leaks and keeps you feeling dry. If you are forced to use tampons always choose organic tampons and pads. Holistic menstrual hygiene is a thing that can benefit you, the environment and your wallet. When you are menstruating, make sure you change routinely and choose your products wisely.
EAT FOR THE YONI!
Take probiotics every day or eat probiotic foods like sauerkraut, kombucha, kefir etc. Drink loads of water. Eat less sugar, milk, alcohol and gluten. Poor diet can cause yeast infection really fast. When the ph balance is off, yeast infection comes. You may not realize it, but following a balanced, nutritious diet and drinking plenty of fluids are both key to vaginal and reproductive health. If you are prone to yeast infections, taking a probiotic that is rich in Lactobacilli every day can be helpful and if you’re prone to urinary tract infections, it may be helpful to take a cranberry supplement daily. Drink loads of organic pure cranberry juice and take c-vitamin. I recommend this;
Again, pain during sex can be due to dryness. But it could also be due to some more concerning issues. So visit your gyno regularly. If you experience pain during sex, take it as a sign that your vaginal area may need a little extra care (Like lots and lots of lube). But any type of pain in your vaginal area should be cause for concern, this is especially true if the pain is accompanied by discharge, odor, burning and itching.
